Kimba, a Persian kitten, has survived a spin in a washing machine with her family's weekly load. Owners Lindsay and Margaret Rogers, from Moanly Vale, had their backs turned when Kimba leapt into their frontloader unnoticed. After a 30-minute cold cycle, complete with washing powder, Linday opened the door and heard a woeful "meow". "The spin cycle goes really fast and I couldn't believe it survived," he said. The soggy moggy was rushed to the vet suffering from shock, hypothermia and sore eyes, but has since made a full recovery.
